Academy Award winner Rick Carter spoke with about 100 University Village in Thousand Oaks residents. Two of those residents were his mother and stepfather, Ruth Carter Kosh and Howard Kosh.
Carter won an Academy Award for best art direction for "Avatar" and is nominated this year for his work on the film "War Horse." Click here to read the full article at vcstar.com.

At an appreciation party on January 6, we will say thank you and farewell to Judy Fergus, who has served as the Director of Resident Services since UVTO welcomed its first occupants in the summer of 2007. She was on duty even before that, interviewing and helping screen applicants from a health standpoint.
One of this Director's most significant attributes has been her ability to build long-lasting, compassionate relationships with those who have used her services. With a "let's talk" philosophy, she has set aside time for residents and their families as they have dealt with physical change and...
