Were you successful in selling your house? How long did it take?

Mary Jane: Yes! About three months total.

Did you have concerns about the difficult housing situation when you put your house on the market?

Mary Jane: Somewhat, but it got worse as time went on.

How did you get the house sold?

Mary Jane: I put it back on the market after the first escrow didn't work out.

What could have been better about the program (or what could University Village have done better)?

Mary Jane: Nothing. They (UVTO) were very good about including me in what was going on with events and things.

What was your biggest concern before going into the program?

Mary Jane: That I wouldn't be able to sell my house.

What would you have done if the Home Sale Deferral Program had not been available?

Mary Jane: I probably would have stayed in my home. But if the market isn't getting any better, you're just ongoing with your expenses at home. I thought it was time to cut it off. And I'm glad I did.
