'Tis the SeasonCan you feel the holiday love? From décor to donations, the spirit of the season is upon us at UVTO!

December 2nd kicks off our month of Excursions with the Bolshoi Ballet in Cinema: Don Quixote. We really get into the sparkly spirit on December 10, 11, and 12 with our annual Holiday Light Tours. The Nethercutt Collection museum tour will take place on December 13- a wonderful excursion for antique and classic car buffs! “Christmas Magic!” takes place on December 16th at the High Street Arts Center. 'Tis the SeasonClassic holiday tales will be told and carols will be sung. We will be heading to the Huntington Library December 20th where four interesting programs await you: The Blue Boy Project, NASA’s Orbit Pavilion, Architects of a Golden Age, and Rituals of Labor and Engagement. “South Pacific” might be just what you need to shake off that winter chill with a trip to the Rubicon Theater for the performance on December 22. What would the holidays be without this seasonal classic? The Nutcracker Ballet, again brought to us by the Bolshoi Ballet in Cinema, will take place on December 23. Finally we close out December with an excursion to the Kavli Theatre for a performance of The King and I. 'Tis the SeasonUVTO’s special holiday spirit starts with Hanukkah services on December 3rd. LEO’s will take a trip to the beautiful Riverside Mission Inn for a light tour and dinner on December 4. The tradition of Advent dinner will take place December 7. Join UVTO’s very own Village Singers for their holiday program on December 10. Be sure to take some time on December 17th to look at the Crèches and Menorahs that will be displayed by UVTO residents. Those who sign up will be building Gingerbread Manors in the Arts and Crafts room December 19-20 for our Gingerbread House Contest. The Manors will be on display December 21… be sure to vote for your favorite! The Victorian Singers will be joining us on December 24th in Mount Clef Terrace and finally we will be saying goodbye to 2018 and hello to 2019 with our New Year’s Eve celebration and casino! Some activities and programs require sign-ups. Be sure to sign up early or get on the waitlist for anything you are interested in!
