Description: University Village is currently seeking Nursing Aides who will be responsible for performing direct nursing care duties for residents as directed by the Resident Services Director.

Essential duties and responsibilities: Responds to resident and staff emergency medical situations; Initiates and coordinates requests for emergency medical care, including contacting physicians, ordering emergency (911) or non-emergency transfers and conduct initial assessments of resident medical needs; Assist with escorts to the dining room, beauty shop, physical therapy, activities, etc.; Assist residents with activities of daily living while encouraging and maintaining their maximum level of independence; Accompanies residents to doctor appointments as necessary; Reports alterations in resident status to the Resident Services Director; Maintains confidentiality of resident information; Documents all care given according to Resident Services policies and procedures.

Qualifications: High school diploma and completion of Certified Nurse Assistant training program or some experience as a caregiver in a facility; Experience working with the geriatric population; Current CPR and First Aid Certification; Must be able to effectively communicate verbally in English. Must be able to read, comprehend, and write English; FBI and DOJ criminal record clearance.
